Preparing for Professional Tree Removal and Branch Trimming
| Scene of branch cutting work (center area of the property) |
Today, we spent about one week cutting branches in preparation for professional tree removal work. In the central area of the property that will become a home garden, there were many small and medium-sized trees such as katsura trees. As we gradually cut them down from the top, we discovered that the roots had spread widely underground. Considerable soil erosion was observed.

Although tree cutting may sound simple, it is one of those tasks that can easily lead to serious accidents. After learning information related to cutting down each tree, we prepared the necessary tools and equipment. To avoid delaying the garden opening due to unexpected injuries during the tree removal work, we are carefully working together with professionals while imagining how the trees will fall and investigating the cutting points with extreme caution.

These are some of the trees that do not even budge during strong winds, which means their roots extend deeply into the soil. Considering that the roots spread proportionally deep and wide underground in relation to the branches extending high into the sky, we can already imagine how difficult the stump removal work will be later on.
| Condition of tree height |
As shown in part of the previous article (We Started Developing the Kitamura Home Garden 🐱(March 01, 2025)), this is the condition of the upper part of the tree touching the power lines. Although it cannot be seen clearly in this photo, there is a power line in the lower left area. There is another similar tree as well. The difficulty level of cutting down these trees is extremely high for an amateur like myself, and completely beyond what I could safely handle, so without hesitation I decided to ask professional tree removal experts for assistance.
