Theodore West

On Blogger since: October 2025

My name: My name, Theodore West, was given to me in 2018 by James Albert Delaney III, who I consider my parent in America, even though we are not legally related. Delaney III was a Christian pastor who deeply valued faith, integrity, and living a life guided by God. Though he is no longer with us, he continues to live on in my heart, guiding me every day. My name carries the hope and prayer that I would follow God’s guidance and live a life true to my convictions. Because of that, this name isn’t just mine for this lifetime. It will live on even after I am gone.

About Me

Gender: Male

Industry: Law & Farming (Fledgling Farmer)

Occupation: I’ve worked fifteen years as a paralegal in Tokyo. Since COVID-19, I work from home part of the week.

Location: Tokyo & Nagano, Japan

Introduction: I have been employed as a full-time staff member in the legal industry for 20 years, starting with part-time work during college. Over the years, I have worked with three law firms and currently serve as a paralegal at a firm in Tokyo. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been telecommuting Monday through Wednesday and going into the office on Thursdays.

In addition to my legal career, I have consistently held part-time jobs at convenience stores for two to three hours daily since college. While the workplaces have varied, my main goal has always been to improve my interpersonal and communication skills through customer interaction. This experience, now almost as extensive as my paralegal career, has been extremely rewarding and has provided valuable insights and lessons from engaging with customers. I plan to leave my convenience store job in December, 2025 to focus fully on my blog.

Furthermore, I dedicate my remaining time to agriculture as an aspiring farmer. I am currently preparing land for vegetable and rice cultivation, with the long-term goal of transitioning to full-time farming. This work allows me to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience essential for sustainable agricultural practices.

Interests: My farm, West Faithful Acres, has a name I find quite impressive. I started a blog as a personal hobby to document the farm's progress. When selling vegetables and fruits, I use the blog to introduce myself and share updates on cultivation, including photos, with the goal of building a loyal customer base. One of my motivations is also to offer these products at affordable prices, so I am experimenting with various strategies online to optimize both sales and outreach.
